They are often laid out as two (2) or three (3) receipts per page of the booklet. Usually, receipt books are made with carbon copy paper, so both the issuer and recipient have identical copies of the same receipt. If a receipt book is not made with carbon copy paper, it’s wise for the issuer to photocopy receipts to maintain accurate records of payments.
What It Includes
- Amount due;
- Amount paid;
- Description of what the payment is for;
- Issuer name, address, phone number, and signature;
- Outstanding balance (if applicable);
- Recipient name, address, and phone number; and
- Transaction date.
