A restaurant receipt is a physical payment record proving a customer at a restaurant paid for their order. It isn’t to be mistaken with the bill. The receipt is issued after the customer pays their bill and serves as proof of payment. Restaurant receipts must include a line for customers to hand-write in a tip for the staff.
